Brand Grab — Privacy Policy

Brand Grab is a Chrome extension published by Namecheckly.
The short version
Brand Grab collects nothing. It has no backend, no account system, no analytics and no tracking. Nothing about the pages you visit is transmitted anywhere.
What the extension reads, and when
Brand Grab reads a page only when you click its toolbar icon. It never runs in the background and it never watches your browsing.
When you click it, it reads the page you are looking at to find:
- the logo in the page header, and the favicon and Open Graph image declared in the page
- the colours and font families the page actually renders
- links to social media profiles
- the page title, Open Graph site name and schema.org organisation name
All of this is processed in your browser, in the extension's popup, and it is discarded as soon as you close the popup.
What leaves your browser
Nothing, unless you ask for it.
Copy writes the brand kit to your system clipboard. Nothing is sent over the network.
Export kitbuilds a ZIP in your browser and saves it through Chrome's normal download mechanism. To include the logo, favicon and share image, the extension fetches those image files from the addresses the page itself gave — usually the site's own CDN. Those requests go to the website you are exporting, and to no one else. Brand Grab operates no servers and receives none of this data.
This is why the broad host permission is requested at the moment you export rather than at install: it is used to download the specific images in your kit, and nothing else. You can decline it, and Brand Grab will still work — the ZIP simply omits the remotely hosted images.
Storage
Brand Grab stores nothing. It uses no cookies, no localStorage, and nochrome.storage. It keeps no history of the sites you have used it on.
Third parties
There are none. No analytics provider, no error reporter, no advertising network, no AI service. The extension contains no remote code — everything it runs ships inside the published package.
Children
Brand Grab is a professional tool with no user accounts and no data collection. It is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top. Any change that affects what data the extension handles will also be reflected in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
